Treehouse Art Room

Art is what makes a house a home.

The Treehouse Art program is designed for all of our Diegueno students and families to engage in visual arts from home! The name honors our beloved school and, like a treehouse, allows students a special place to allow their imaginations and talents to run wild.

Each week I will create two video tutorials (one for K-2 and another for 3-6) in which I will demonstrate a fun and enriching art project designed for anyone to be able to create with even limited art supplies. Lessons and projects have been created with simple to follow steps and can be further enlivened with additional materials and imagination.

Because they are video tutorials you can pause, rewind, or even come to the project later when your creative juices are flowing. Projects will vary in material, scope, and medium each week and most projects can be done repeatedly, with new and exciting results! We will also create a gallery section next week so we can share pictures of your art with the entire Diegueno community!

Posted you will find a recommended materials list which I encourage you to view. From there, gather whatever materials you may have and place them in a convenient “Art Box” or somewhere they can be easily accessed. I have also added some suggested materials you may want to consider ordering online from Amazon or other stores that delivers so you can unlock that magical world of the Treehouse Art program. Whatever you have, we will find a way for you to enjoy the Treehouse Art experience!

Thinking of you all,

Mr. Hallinan
